Focus!

Hebrews 12 says we are to look to Jesus, as our author and finisher of our faith. That focus is essential. People who look to circumstances for direction or inspiration find nothing to sustain them. But those who look to Jesus remain productive and growing.
When I was a student athelete, I can remember the coaches hollering, "keep your eyes on the ball!" It really didn't matter if it was football, basketball,or baseball. It was always the same. "Watch the ball!"
You can't hit the ball if you don't see it. You can't catch the ball if you don't keep your eye's on it. You can't be a great athelete--no matter what sport you choose--without a great amount of focus.
In the same way, keeping your eyes focused and fixed on Jesus Christ as the goal of your life will always make you a winner. And remember--- even suffering may be a part of that process. Scripture says that Jesus learned obedience by things He suffered (Hebrews 5:8).
